ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP TREK, NEPAL
SOLO AND SELF GUIDED TREK
When I visited Pokhara in 2013 and I saw first time the Mt. Macchapucchre and Annapurana from Sangarkot View Point, Pokhara that time I did not know much about the Himalayas. After doing some treks in Himachal Pradesh, Leh and Uttrakhand in 2016, I decided to do Solo Annapura Base Trek in 2017. I gathered some information of Annapura Base Camp from Internet and booked my Flight for Kathamndu.
I didn’t hire any guide as there is no need and I found that 2000 NPR to 2500 *NPR per day for a guide fee is expensive because I was doing this trek Solo. The trail of ABC is navigable and readable without a detailed map.
*NPR stands for Nepali Currency.
Detailed itinerary of this trek : –
Day 1 : Delhi to Kathmandu by Night Flight (21:00 to 23:30), Stay in Hotel
Day 2 : Visit Nepal Tourism Board, Kathmandu, Get TIMS Card and ACAP Permit Trek, In Afternoon took Micro Taxi (Sharing) from Kathmandu (Kalimati Road) to Pokhara ( 5Hrs. Journey), Reached Pokhara (Prithvi Chowk) in Evening, Took Taxi From Prithvi Chowk for LakeSide. Stay in Hotel
Day 3 : Pokhara to Phedi (By Bus) Phedi to Landruk (Trek)
8:00 Am, – Wake Up
8:00 AM to : 8: 30 – Breakfast at Lakeside and Took Bus from Lakeside to Zero, another bus from Zero to Baglun Bus Park
8:30 to 9:00 – Lake side to Balgun Bus Park
9:00 to 10: 00 – Bus Departure from Baglun Bus Park(Pokhara toPhedi)

10:00 to 12:00 – Phedi to Dhampus (Steep Stairs) 12:00 to 13:00 – Dhampus to Pothana
(Check Point)
13:00 to 13:30 – Lunch at Pothana (Moderate)
13:30 to 16:00 – Pothana to Tolka (Moderate)

Day 8: Jhinu to Siwai and Siwai to Pokhara (By Bus)

10:45 to 12:30 – New Bridge to Kyumi
12:30to 14:00 – Kyumi to Siwai
14:00 to 14:30 – Lunch at Siwai
14:30 to 16:00 – Bus from Siwai to Pokhara (Balgun Bus Park)
16:00 to 16:45 – Balgun Bus Park to Zero and Zero to Lakeside
16:45 to 20:00 – Check in Hotel at Lakeside, Visit Fewa Lake, Photography and Dinner
20:00 – Good Night.
Day 9: Pokhara to Kathmandu or **Birjung
6:00 – Wake Up
6:00 to 7:00 – Breakfast and Check Out
7:00 to 7:30 – Bus From Lakeside Bus Stand to Prithvi Bus Park, Pokhara.
8:00 to 14:00 – Pokhara to Kathmandu.
** I did not go to Kathmandu on Day 9, I took the bus from Pokhara to Birjung (9 Hrs. Journey) as My Home Town is in Motihari, Bihar (Near to Birjung)
TIMS Card and ACAP Permit
For TIMS Card(Trekkers Information Management System) and ACAP (Annapura Conservation Area Project) Permit, you have to visit Nepal Tourism Board, Durbar Marg Road, Kathmandu.
For SAARC Countries Citizens, You have to pay 600 NPR (For TIMS Card) and 200 NPR (For Annapura Sancutary Permit).
For Other Citizens 2000 NPR for TIMS and 2200 for ACAP Permit
4 Passport Size Photo is Mandatory for TIMS Card and ACAP Permit
